Not quite sure, but the mite looks like a minute beetle. The legs are off and I think I make out antenna that fit beetles. There are a number of minute candidates, tho not enough info to name one.

I might have a cricket face like that if I was forced to watch cricket. Good shots and Happy New Year.

Brenda, I've watched a bit of cricket a time or two and for the life of me I can't figure it out. Of all the strange games cricket has to be on the list along with curling which is pushing the stone on ice and quickly sweeping in front of it.

Of course we have those who ice fish up north in the brutal winter which is also quite strange except that it is a good reason to sit in the tent or house and have drinks with a friend.

Yes, I agree Gary, my game was Badminton which is a lot more exciting until I broke my achilles tendon whilst reaching for a shot.

I liked curling, sort of a shuffleboard, till the new 'sportwear' and brooms.
And keep in mind, all those features on the cricket are geared to it's survival and reproduction, however bizzare.

There truly are some strange sports. I'm not sure that fishing is actually a sport although it is one that goes good with some brewskies when participating. On the other hand it's quite difficult to drink a beer while on the field playing football.

I mentioned ice fishing for there are some fellows that take it to the extreme with their fish-houses that they set out on the ice. The real purists are the ones that put on their jumpsuit and sit on their bucket looking down into the borehole waiting for a 8-inch long fish to take a bite of the bait. It's not for me, too old and too cold.
