Thinking of purchasing the BENQ PD2700U Design View monitor . It seems to have all the characteristics of a quality monitor for picture editing and has good reviews. Have any of you hogs heard any discouraging words about this monitor?

Thanks and Happy New Year.

This display would not be my first choice for photo editing. However, for CAD/CAM, video editing, solids modeling, animation - it would be.

I think you should be looking at the PhotoVue Photographer Displays - wider color gamut and the 16 bit LUT being the main differences.

This is a great value for a 4K monitor. Easy setup, no downsides seen yet. Other than personal opinions, there aren’t too many negative reviews that I’ve come across.

When considering a BENQ monitor for photography, you need to look at their SW series monitors. The SW series are specifically for photography.

There are 6 models in the SW series. Here is a link to the SW series web page. https://www.benq.com/en-us/monitor/photographer.html

I own the BENQ SW2700PT. It is one of the 27" models, and I am very happy with it. There are a few other members that own BENQ SW series as well.

I also have the SW2700 and have no complaints. It's a good value for a decent moitor designed for photo editing.

I replaced 2x 24" wide gamut monitors with one SW2700 and it's great.

I'm glad BenQ is still around. I have a PF 751 that I bought in 2003 and it still works. The back panel comes off if the contacts get loose. It has the old prong connector, though I use it on an older system not connected to the internet. I don't know though how the newer models are, if they are the same quality.

Thank you all for the recommendations. Now looking at the BENQ SW2700PT.
