Really nice set! Where do you go in Yakima to photograph the wild horses? I am in Olympia and have wanted to go and find those horses.

There are about 3000 wild horses on the Yakama Indian Reservation. Unfortunately, access is limited to what you can see from the highway. Winter is probably the best time to try to photograph them when they tend to gather near the river. But, and it’s a very big but, they don’t like people or cars at all. They generally take off as soon as a car stops. Most of the photos I have from Yakima were taken with a 400mm lens.

Thank you for taking time to comment on the pictures. I truly appreciate it. I tend to agree with the posters who preferred the first photo and the one with the two horses nuzzling. While many of my friends look for action shots, I get more pleasure from those that show the horses’ soul a bit.
