Today's crop........ Interesting or entertaining
Went for another photo shoot today, checked out the corn crop. Not looking too good with the extreme drought we are having. Then took a few more just to make the day interesting.

Another batch of great photographs of various subjects. I ate a real juicy sweetcorn this evening (uncooked) it was awesome sweet and tender!
Ian
I have not had a good ear of sweet corn this year. All small slender and not quite mature enough for my liking. Forgot to put it on my list today... Thanks for looking Ian.
Thank you for the post. I especially like the butterfly. We have not had many in our area this year.
If you have a good macro setup the disappointing corn would make for interesting subject matter.
Love the butterfly shot!!

Thank you Joe, I am glad you like the butterfly! We usually have lots more, but this year they seem to favor the areas with lots of water... Maybe because that is where the flowers are growing ;-)

Beautiful butterfly!!
Thanks rlaugh, they were pretty flighty so a quick snap was all that was allowed, and they were hanging on in the wind as well. I had fun as you may have guessed. How's that new lens doing?

I have a decent macro, but I was kinda trespassing (not that I think they would do anything, buuuuttt). I just took time to peel back the husk and snap a pix. But it is definitely food for thought, thanks for the suggestion :D

Great photos of a great state. My wife and I used to collect garbage bags full of milk weed cotton and she made comforters with them. Real warm on a cold Iowa night. Didn't quite get around to making my vest tho.

Emmet, there are still plenty of them around. Might take a bit longer to collect than when I was a kid, but it could be done. I imagine they would be awesome in a quilt or a jacket, or even a vest  . It sure was shinning in the sun yesterday!
Ggia, loved all , but( I may be crazy), loved feed corn the best. Love all of your posts. Thanks. Henry
