Having used both PC’s and Apples extensively, I find PC’s usage cumbersome when compared to my iMacs, and I have never had a problem with a Mac.

My advice: buy a Mac and don’t look back. They cost more, but they are worth every penny.

My daughter teaches at a University in Europe...
She ( uses Apple ) and notes that when you go into the library you can pick out the Americans.
They are the only ones using Apple computers because they are so expensive.

She had an Apple Mac Book Pro that the keyboard failed and they refused to repair even though it was under a year old. This has been a big issue with these computers. They said " It was not a part of the recall because it was not made in the recalled dates."

PC. But no Windows. Linux. Built the way I want it. I can add and remove anything I want. Zero bloatware. No antivirus nonsense. No subscriptions, no forced updates. And if I want to I can figure out how to code and change the way the OS works. Why would anyone be beholden to the OS anarchy that is mac ans ms.

I have used Macs both personally and professionally for more than 30 years, ever since I bought my first one: an Apple IIE. I've liked some better than others but preferred them all to the competing machines I sometimes had to use such as a Trash 80 and the early IBMs.

I went from PageMaker to Indesign, from the first versions of Photoshop to the current one. I did install Bootcamp on one of my current drives so I could run a Windows game. Was not satisfied with how that ran. For Windows games, I'd recommend Windows computers. Otherwise I expect to stick with Macs.

Ultimately choice of computers is just personal preference in my view.

I learned how to use a PC with Windows XP. I didn't own a computer at that time. I bought my first HP laptop in late 2009, and my second one in 2012. I loved Windows 7. My first laptop still has Windows 7. I didn't upgrade it to Windows 10. A friend of mine wants to buy a new Mac Book Pro. And asked me if I knew about it, to give him lessons. Unfortunately, I told him I could not, because I wasn't familiar with that OS. I was surprised that local Adult Night School, in my community don't offer Apple computers classes, because they don't have Mac computers. Perhaps Apple doesn't allow other institutions to teach classes? Adult Night Schools offer PC classes throughout my County. Many of which are business oriented. In order to seek jobs requiring computer skills. Mainly young adults in their 20s and 30s. Windows 10 can be problematic too. Apple computers have loyal followers, that I can say. I won't bash Apple computers, because I can't compare Apple to a PC. And Apple computers sell well enough to stay in business. So, they must be doing something right, even though they are more expensive than a PC. One thing I've been told by at least two Apple computers owners. Is that they rarely get viruses? Microsoft will cease giving support to Windows 7 on January 14, 2020. One support will be, not to offer security to the Windows 7 OS. Meaning your computer will be open to viruses, no updates. And whatever bad things can happen? RIP Windows 7. I'm in the hunt for a new Windows laptop, this coming Spring season.

When you name your computer after a fruit, what do you expect?

I wish I had invested money about the time the decision to name the company was finalized.

“A friend of mine has a new Canon Pro-100 printer that I've never been able to get working on her Mac.“ I have a Canon Pixma Pro 100, 2 Epson Workforce printer scanners, a Epson Perfection V600 Scanner, and a Focusrite Pro audio interface all connected to my mid 2015 MacBook pro, and previous to that was connected to my early 2011 15 inch MacBook Pro. The printers and scanners are also connected to the Hewlett Packard and Dell Computers, as well as 4 Apple iPads. No problems.

That is my experience as well. I have been a Graphic Designer for over 30 years and using Macs since the 90's. I also have an iMac at home and a MacBook Pro. ZERO problems with them.

You have to give it to Apple, as they have the best marketing department in history and know consumers.
Apple understands that a portion of the population is more susceptible than others and with the right message, will happily hand over significantly more money for basically the same product.

For instance, part of the message is better security. If that was the case, then why do we see apple products release security patches constantly? It's because they experienced an attack and had to fix it. They simply don't broadcast to the public. Also, since major businesses don't use their product, when the attacks happen, it doesn't make headlines.

I guess thats probably true but "Marketing" only lasts so long. Eventually a lousy product will supersede any "Marketing" campaign. Also I think you might be surprised at how prevalent Macs are in the business world. And while there have been some viruses and Malware that will invade a Mac its not often especially if you don't go to those type of "sites".

That guy, Louis Rossmann has a vendetta against Apple Computer, and many of these guys that do youtube videos earn money for the videos. With 1.06 million subscribers he’s making money on these videos. Ask people who use Apple Computers for photo/video editing. I have both Apple and Hewlett Packard, and Dell computers and I prefer working on the Apples.

Here are the experiences of an Apple repairman.

I will never go back to PCs. I have used and built Windows computers dating back to the days of PC DOS 1.0. The problems are legend. This is not to say that Mac OS X is defect free, it is just not as buggy as OS X.

Hardware? I have everything that I need connected to my Mac Pro.

And I have more security than a Windows base PC. Yes I do have anti-Virus installed just in case.

If you look at the video critically, you will see that he goes back many years to come up with the Apple failures. Windows has had, and continues to have far more problems.

I've gone back and forth more than a couple of times, however, now that I'm retired and don't need a PC to run work related programs, I have settled in with Mac's. Of course my OCD personality took over and I have a new iMac 27 i9 to go with my 6-Core 2013 6,1 Trashcan Mac Pro and highly upgraded 12-Core 2010 5,1 Cheesegrater Mac Pro.

should that be OAD ? Haha, Happy Holidays.
