This is a one of the beetles provided by Bill (newtoyou) for a focus stacking session. I'm continuing to experiment with my alternate mirrorless camera while using the same assortment of lenses that I had with the DSLR.

Excellent!
Certain orders of insects lack simple eyes, but I did not know which ones. According to Wikipedia, most beetles lack simple eyes, but a few families of beetles do have them.
