Rode many a mile around SouthEast Asia in some of those. Always just as a passenger. No flight attendants to serve drinks😁

And a great jump platform
I was assigned to a C130 group for 18 months and came to really appreciate this bird. They also had some really great crews, they were all business in what we did!

A real workhorse and reliable.
Chased one down the runway at Dong Ha. It had to slow to almost a stop and I flopped onto the tail ramp with my gear and he started off as i am holding on. the crew chief, thank god, saw my problem and raised the ramp so I could slide down and into the plane. The pilot was in a bit of a hurry as it was raining artillery rounds around the area.

The last one I was in was loaded with jeeps and gear. And we were headed "home".
I am sure many on this site have fond, and some scary, tales they could share about their experience with the "One-thirties". I well recall looking at the print near a landing gear pin access. "Hand rotate at 35,000 RPM" Hand rotate ?!
Great view and shot.
The C-130 is quite the workhorse. Thanks for a inside look. Great image.
sorry , but this the C117 Spectre not C130 , is it right ?

The interiors look similar. It may be a C117. The major difference is that the C1390 is a prop plane vs the jet C117.
Personally, I have never been inside the C117. It is "after" my time.
