Ospreys are one incredible fishing machine. Your captures are all wonderful. #7 is a fantastic shot of the business end of an osprey.

Ron I am using a Canon 300mm f/2.8L IS II with a 2X extender. It is a pretty expensive setup, but surprisingly I also have the 100-400 II and it is actually pretty good also.

Thanks fergmark, I have a shot like that where the bird is coming straight down into the water, same extension, but unfortunately I was unable to keep the bird adequately framed so the tips of his talons are cut at the bottom of the image leaving the image clipped and no water to help with the composition so it was pretty useless I did not keep it. Here is the image taken right after #7 so this is the same bird as it hits the water but because he is lost in the splash I did not think it worth posting, but this is the very next pic taken after the one you commented on.
