I remember this video from 2008(I think). I was moved then and still have emotional ties to the message.

I've been corrected as to the date of the production. I felt 2008 was not correct. It was 1985.

Mark, I celebrate Chanukkah but wish all "Merry Christmas" as appropriate, not the leftist "Happy Holiday".

Wow!! Never knew the expression "Happy Holidays"was political. Amazing!!
That's an asinine response.
Shalom, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Shalom Shabbat, Happy New Year, ...
So, which are leftist, right wing, conservative, communist?
Mark
Thanks, Mark, I enjoyed it again very much after all these years.

There are many more religions and cultures other than Christian or Jewish that have significant and celebrated holidays during December . Saying “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas” is an all inclusive expression of goodwill to all of them, all fellow human beings. It is a sad turn by conservatives to take this all inclusive phrase and turn it into a political rallying cry of a “War on Christmas” by progressives. There is NO War on Christmas. There IS a war on freedom of expression, secularism, and truth.
Thanks for providing the link, Mark. Some of the greatest voice talent of our age in that song. I’m not ashamed to admit that the feeling and heart of those lyrics makes me tear up with the hope it expresses. But even with all the hope and action for change since 1985, I fear we have lost ground on those ideals.
