The eye and the feathers are both tack sharp. Comes down to photographer's preference.

Thanks, R.G. Right now, that’s beyond what I know how to do. My preference is still that close crop, though.

Thank you, and I agree about the sharpness, but I really like that close crop. It was one of those things that just “grabbed” me as soon as I saw it. The eye has it!
