I had a drive through the Sierras planned for last month to see the fall colors, like we did in October of last year, but going a different route. Our schedule got too busy and we weren't able to go. However, we live "on the edge of the Bay Area," so I went closer to home. Hopefully we can do the Sierras drive next year. Our weather has been generally warmer than normal, with highs in the 70s and a few low 80s this month so the colors have been a bit late. We are supposed to get cooler weather and some rain in a couple of days.
This is first set of three and is from late Friday afternoon 11/15. The photos were taken east of Mt. Diablo on Marsh Creek Road, about 8 miles from our house (also one of my favorite roads). I went back the next morning in the same area in better light. The following morning I went for a walk on the trail near our house. All photos were taken with my Canon 80D with the EF-S 18-135 lens in RAW format and then post processed in Lightroom.
