Democrats and Republicans
1. Can we agree that we should end the centuries old process of presidents rewarding major donors with ambassador jobs? We have dedicated and knowledgeable state department diplomats who would serve us so much better than inexperienced political appointees who bought their positions with million dollar contributions.
2. Can we agree that the children of political officials should not benefit from their parent's office? This one might be harder to implement and enforce.
3. Can we agree that it is not ok for a president to withhold congressionally approved aid of any kind in exchange for investigations of political opponents?

I agree with all three points, but your third one has not been violated. Trump gave the Ukrainians the Congressionally appropriated money within the specified time period. What is the big deal?
1. I am not saying that ambassadors are or should be elected officials. I am saying that they should be chosen on merit and experience, not based on number of dollars contributed to a candidate. In these dangerous times, we need knowledgable and experienced diplomats to represent our country.
2. Actually, it is wrong but not illegal for the children of elected officials to receive high dollar positions in the private sector nationally or globally based on their relationship with their parents.
3. Yes, it is wrong and illegal to attempt bribery by withholding congressionally appropriated funds from a foreign country in exchange for the public announcement of an investigation of a political opponent.

Bribery, yeah, right.....

Keep in mind that Donald Trump will not always be president. Do you really want to set a precedent that a future Democratic president can commit the same acts and that behavior will be acceptable?

Do not kid yourself that anything you have ever written here has accomplished anything other than to promote Vladimir Putin's propaganda agenda.

Saying crap like that shows how whacked out from common sense you truly are. You are actually ignorant enough to think that someone on this little site would promote Putin.
Yet you ignore what Putin did for hildabeast. You are a true, non thinking democrat who comes on here to peddle your nonsense and no one ever bites, except another democrat.

Yes, that process should end.
No, we do not have 'dedicated and knowledgeable state department diplomats who would serve us so much better' ... they a least aided in creating the messes we have today.

Being that this hasn't happened you are positing a meaningless question.
