This is my first time posting to any forum. I'm also a beginner photographer, so any advice is welcome.

interesting composition. like it allot. only suggestion I have is to try and not center your main subject IE "rule of thirds" if the shell was either to the left or the right of where it is composition would be stronger. Very nice especially for a first post.

Actually, even though the shell is 'centered' left-to-right, is is just about right for the bottom 'third' line horizontally...

Very nice work on DOF and color clarity. It does seem to have a calming effect and you can almost hear the ocean waves........
