Well, I just screwed up and went to post my challenge, but had forgotten to note the URL!

So, briefly this time, there's all kinds of topics, all kinds of shapes and sizes, all kinds of styles, all kinds of emotions etc etc.

Here are some of mine and I'm looking forward to see what you folks have recorded over the years.

Very nice start, Kaskasi. Those you posted are rare around here, interesting.

This is the old Farmers' Market and it is posted on the nowadays Farmers' Market, which was taken down last year by the mayor probably to build (more) condos in the Port of Québec.

The market dates back to the1800's, a cultural monument here and the history is awesome. Truly sad.

Nice story here. This is in a neighbourhood in Q-City, St-Roch and there was a fellow there with his dog, bith homeless and a girl who also was homeless and they were doing grafitti and they were very talented, so talented that a local bank hired them to do their arts.

Now I do not know if they did these 100% but I do know that they worked on them.

Not good photos but the story is the subject

I hate it when such cultural icons are violated - especially by developers. "Progress"???

Our market got taken over 20 years ago, not by a developer but by a money-grubbing entrepreneur. It fast lost all its character, and the truly local small businesses soon left because they couldn't afford the rents. Then the health authorities came in and closed down a lot of the local baking etc on grounds their kitchens didn't meet health's restaurant-style standards (that included being too small!!). Then it got burned down and replaced by a bubble (OK inside I suppose, but otherwise a ghastly eyesore).

How beautiful. We often think of graffiti and street art as the products of vandalism, and to the extent they are, when executed without permission on private or public property, but every so often such talent comes along that, like in your example, they get substantial commissions.

And think Banksy, so coveted:
A painting depicting British politicians as monkeys has become the most expensive artwork to date by street artist Banksy, as it was sold for 9.9 million pounds ($12.2 million) at the London auction house Sotheby's. (Credit ABC news)

I don't see any serious competition around here!
