Sigma just announced the release of a new full frame mirrorless lens, the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 Art DG DN. Unfortunately it will only be available in Sony E and Leica L mounts, not available for Nikon or Canon mirrorless. Shipping in December, pricing not yet released, that will come in 2-3 weeks.

Ah, looks like a ART series lens. I have a couple I use on my D850 and they are superb. The only bad thing I can say about an ART series lens is the weight, they are a little on the heavy side. I thought one of the main advantages of going mirrorless was the reduced weight.

Ha. Bloatware is also alive and well for mirrorless.

Although I have a Canon Full-Frame, it does look like a worthy addition to a mirrorless camera's bag. I would like to offer a mild critique. I hope the lens shade is removable or at least repositionable. But I strongly suggest that the manufacturer consider re-working the lens design so that it may be available for mirrorless and dSLR markets as well.

The true advantages with ‘MILC’ are the things you can do without a mirror, such as true WYSIWYG, histogram, and focus on eyes.

Yup ... lenses tend to be ... not a part of a mirrorless body. (sarcasm)
Quality lenses will still weigh more ... they always do.
Siggy has decided to wait on the Z-mount apparently ... choosing to follow the market first ... a wise choice.

I’m waiting for them to make an ART series version of the magnificent 200-500 f2.8 zoom

Interesting, B&H and Adorama do not advertise here. But you feel the need to do so. Business bad lately?
