Accessing Files from Nikon D850

I recently purchased a Nikon D850. I can only open the NEF files one at a time vs all opening when accessing the folder. What am I missing? Doug

You can go through Lightroom, file/import photos. This is the organizer half of the Photoshop combo.

That is the way Photoshop works, one RAW image at a time. You can have several open at once, but it still needs to open them one at a time because processing must be applied (or bypassed) before opening.

The files prior to using the 850 all open when opening folder. I did not expect this to change with the new camera? Doug

In the FOLDER yes, but not when opening in Photoshop.

You are thinking of how Photoshop can open multiple image files at once. Lightroom is one image at a time.

I messed up on my response again. I can open the file in Photoshop, I cannot view the image in bridge.

Of course Lightroom displays the full catalog in library mode, whatever size images/previews you want. But as you say you can only work on one at a time. But Photoshop only lets you actually work on one at a time, too.

In Photoshop I can only open the images one at a time which is too hard to work with but using Bridge works very well. I open my card in Bridge, using that as a sort of "light table." I can view all the images and decide which ones to work on. When I find one I double click on it. A window opens for initial adjustments, then I hit OK to open it in Photoshop for final work.

I hope this helps!

That is incorrect, you can certainly open as many raw files in PS as you like and work on them simultaneously!
