We were out walking the beach when we came upon a fisherman that had a sting ray on his line, the struggle was real! In the end they were able to cut the line close to the SR, they were wary of it stabbing them! Best seen in download.

I'll bet it was a fight. Nice set and I hope the Sting Ray will be alright.

Me too, they did their best to help it without getting stabbed...it is not what they had hoped to hook.

We Cajuns would have made a Stingray Sauce Piquante with it. Just saying.

Exactly as I remember, Rena, and these bring back old memories of fishing with my dad. Stingrays always put up a huge fight, and the line had to be carefully cut. Super shots!

They are tuff. There wide bodies & wings give them the power to pull. We get cow nose rays here in jersey up to 35lbs. When using light tackle for summer flounder they can be tuff to get in. Nice set.

Enjoy, Tom

I got stung by a stingray once while surfing in CA and I can tell you, it was one of the most painful experiences of my life! Just a little nip on my foot, but the waves of pain just kept coming and intensifying for a couple of hours! And no, I didn't pee on it!
