we did not find anyone that knew. The outdoor museum was not well staffed
Place it on the ground it could be a bicycle rack.
Place the notch on the right on the top of one side of your motorboat, and you can keep up to 16 ski ropes separated.
My guess is that it is so you can open the roof if snow is high and you can't get out the door.

What part of the house was it in? It looks like it might be a storage device, or a drying rack.
In the winter I would use it to dry clothes or any other item. This would also increase humidity in home.
Clothes or blanket drying rack?
Maybe used to dry and age homemade sausage?
