Good focus. I would suggest not framing the subject in the center of the image.

Good exposure and focus. It looks like he's daydreaming.
As a non-expert critic, I would say the duck is too much in the center and too low. You could have pulled back a bit and shown more of the duck. Increased contrast would help, too.
Thank you Jerryc and Seesaw , I will do that

I agree with both. You focus is very good and the subject is great. But the position of the bird is not welcoming to view the photo for any length of time. More contrast would add to the pull of our eyes.

Looks like a Canada Goose but can't quite figure out the white stuff on his beak?
Good shot - I agree, composition is a bit off but a good in-focus shot. Maybe a vertical shot to get more of the bird and a little judicious cropping.
But anyway, good shot - keep it up and you will be amazed at how you come quickly to view things in your viewfinder differently. Don't try to worry about it all at one time - just tinker-it's fun/

Thank you for you answer . I have to keep at it , is fun to start a hobby
The white stuff on his/her beak is a feather I believe he/she was groming when I was trying to adjust my foot and not fall in the lake . :-D
