in the old "bowery boys" movies, what were the given names of slip and satch ?/
stanikon
Loc: Deep in the Heart of Texas
Slip Mahoney and Sach Jones.
Terrance Mahoney and Horace Jones (didn't look at IMDB so no guarantee it's correct)
I think these guys had different names in some movies. I remember Leo Gorcey playing Muggs McGuiness and Huntz Hall as Glimpy.
Sometimes they were the “Bowery Boys” and other times the “Dead End Kids”
I remember Mr. Dumbrowkski. Funny Movies

Yep, that was their names and also the East Side Kids. By whatever name the group had they were great---at least in the early years. Thirty five year old guys trying to play teenagers was a little hard to swallow in their later years.
Forgot about the East Side Kids.
They were fun too watch but you’re right, you can’t be 16 forever😊

I try and hope you do too. Enjoy the day.
That real estate where the Bowery Boys hung out over a fire in a drum is worth millions now. BTW...I wonder what percentage of Hedgehogs even know who they were??
as memory allows, slip was Terence alloysous mahony and satch was Horace Debussy jones.
That's true, but Satch will always be Glimpy to me.
The original movie, that kicked off their careers was great. It was"Deadend" and was an adaption of a popular Broadway play.
