I did, and I think Trump is jumping the gun here also.

I did care in 1993, but that was over 26 years ago. I care a whole lot more about what is happening now.

We did it multiplied by 100X in Vietnam in 1974. It was the left and people like you that supported leaving the South Vietnamese to be slaughtered by the Communists. On top of that, Ted Kennedy and the other Democrats in Congress reneged on the aid we promised to the South Vietnamese to help defend themselves, leaving them completely in the lurch. This singular event is what prompted many former Democrats to abandon their party and become Republicans.
The only reason Democrats are supporting military action now is because Trump is opposed to it, plain and simple. The left never gives a shit about people dying in other countries.

Under Trump, GDP growth in 2018 — the first year after the Republican tax cuts — averaged 3 percent when measured from the fourth quarter of 2017 through the fourth quarter of 2018.

Most Americans didn't know much if anything about Afghanistan, after all it's a long ways away, but it's close enough that we lost a couple of major buildings and at least 3000 civilians over ignoring it.
