I upgraded to the new Mac operating system Catalina today. Took about one hour. I have noticed one glitch so far. I use bridge to import my images. Usually I can use the touch bar to increase the image size to full screen. Not anymore. When I push the touch bar the screen becomes a jumble of lines and colors. So I called Adobe and spoke with a CSR who told me he could not even share my screen to troubleshoot because Catalina has a glitch that prevents it. He said that Adobe and Apple were aware of the problems and were working on them. This is a cautionary tale for Mac users. Wait to upgrade to Catalina until some time has passed and the kinks are worked out.

Catalina breaks things, they have created a read only system partition, air display for example doesn't work because it can't install a driver. Anything 32bit will not work either. You don't have to install on your main drive, which is probably a good thing.

I just upgraded to Catalina on both my Mac Desk top and MacBook Pro today too. So far I have not imported any images. I did post some from my archives and that seemed to work the same. I will let you know if I run into problems next time I import some new pictures.
Also, got an email from RedRiver, saying there are printing problems, and not to upgrade until the problems are resolved.

Red River Paper sent an email that said don't upgrade if you print your own prints.
From RR:
October 10, 2019.
Statement on OSX 10.15 Catalina
Red River Paper has received a number of complaints that after updating to Catalina, some aspects of the print process no longer work. This is fairly common with each new version of OSX. Given that "printing season" is upon us, Red River Paper recommends you do not update to 10.15 Catalina at this time. New operating systems take between 3-6 months before they are fully vetted and free of major bugs. If you value your ability to print or it is critical to your business, do not update.

Apparently there are more changes than the 32 to 64 bit conversion.
And just saying why are in 2019 is 64 bit a problem?

Well, if having maturity in software was the defining factor, then the upgrade that Win10 is pushing would work too. But it gets stuck at 27% and I am done with upgrading it!
Thanks for posting that. My Macs seems to date from 2012, but I'm not going to rush to update.
I upgraded to Catalina yesterday and have had no problems editing in ON1. I have not attempted to download photos from my camera.
I wish this cautionary topic had been posted one day earlier.

I spoke with an Adobe tech the other day on an unrelated issue. He advised me not to upgrade as there are problems with Lr and Ps (on a Mac).

It has been discussed for several days.
I upgraded to Catalina a couple of days ago.
My Adobe Bridge is working fine. I use the space bar all the time to view images in Bridge and I am not experiencing any issues so far (knock on wood).
My Mac is a 2014 build so, if mine works, more current builds should be able to handle Catalina.

Thank you for the advice! I will keep Yosemite (s) going for as long as I can!
Also, have you checked Adobe to see that you are up to date with Bridge?
If so, try reinstalling it. Can be frustrating to reinstall every time you have a glitch but, guaranteed that's what the tech teams will ask you to do if you were to open an issue with them.
