The Washington DC Nationals, a team that was previously known as the Montreal Expos, stunned all of Southern California, with a come from behind win against the Dodgers. Just goes to show that the regular season is meaningless and teams that combine luck and skill prevail in the playoffs. This is not only true in baseball but football and basketball as well.

I think there's a lot of truth to this. My Angels team won the world series in 2002 and they were a wild card team. They seemed to have momentum on their side in the playoffs and the world series.

The original team were the Senators. They were disbanded. The Montreal Expos moved to DC, and were renamed the Nationals.

I remember that World Series, against the Giants. The Giants had Barry Bonds on that team. And the Giants still lost.

If I remember correctly, the Angels were behind by 6 runs and came back to win. I can't remember which game it was. But it was a great come from behind game for them.

So, your saying that the Senators were disbanded and then became the Montreal Expos, and now they are back as the Nats? I'm still a little confused. Or maybe they were simply disbanded. Then Montreal started a franchise and then became the Nats.

That's correct. Toronto still has an American League Team. They are the only team in Canada to win a World Series. Montreal, the National League, lost the team, because of lack of interest, and losing money.

Since 1946. That's a long time fan. That would give you a 1937 birth year. You were a fan before the Mickey Mantle era. The first Yankees World Series I saw, on a black and white TV, as a kid with my grandmother. My mother was not into sports. It was the Yankees vs the Pirates in 1960. The Yankees lost. Mazarowski was the Pirates hero. But, the Yankees were not done winning Pennants and World Series after that. You must have either gone to Yankee Stadium to see them. Listened to them on the radio. Or both.

Yes - radio and 10 inch B&W TV. I Think I went to the Stadium a couple of times. I remember Joe D’s Hitting streak. Amazing record. Might never be broken. I remember Rashi, Lopat & Reynolds pitching staff and Joe Page - The Fireman! All great memories.
