I thought I saw somewhere where someone makes a boot out of rubber that fits over your around your lens and fits snug to a window so that you can take through a window especially at night without getting the reflection. Does anyone know what this is, if it exist, and where I could find one.

A rubber lens hood works as well as anything.

BH Photo carries several brands. I use and them but caution that on zoom lens they will probably restrict shooting wide open as one will get major vignetting. Too, they are larger and so storing lens with these hoods is a problem. All this considered they are an asset.

I'm not exactly sure if this will help. It is called The Ultimate Lens Hood. I have heard about it being useful for such a situation as you describe. It is also demonstrated as being large enough to flip over and cover the entire camera. How true that is remains to be seen?
Try Google-ing it to determine if it suits your purpose.

Happy Shooting!

As suggested, rubber hood will likely work.
Or just build one. Materials won't cost more than a dollar or two for something like this. Years ago before all these ready-made specialized accessory gadgets were available, photographers used to simply construct their own. I find it astonishing just how hopelessly inept and unimaginative photographers have become over the last 15 years.

I just use a bit of gaffers tape to hold a dark cloth on the widow to cover the lens.

I purchased this for shooting hockey games. The suction cups will not hold onto the cold glass and was a real great disappointment. Normal temps it works fine.... I would say save your money and purchase a rubber lens hood. Overpriced from my point of view.

I wanna thank all of you for your responses, I ended up taping an old shirt to the window and sticking the camera through the neck hole and Attaching it to the lens with a rubber band
