I have seen that when I was a kid. The tractor can keep pulling and I have seen that until the rock/stump finally came out and the front wheels dropped back on the ground. Doing that is taking a big chance the tractor will rotate more and go over backwards. The solution is a second tractor or pickup truck hooked to the tractor's front tow shackle. Keeps it from flipping and adds more power to the pull.
