Yates Mill

This is Yates Mill a Grist Mill in Raleigh, North Carolina originally build in 1756. This was taken near sunset. I was fortunate to have the setting sun partially blocked by the trees as it set and thus had some interesting light to fall on the mill.

Around on the front side there is a bronze plaque with some data on it. However that side was in really deep shade and under the trees. Not much of a photo.

This was taken near sunset and it was really getting dark. If not for that shaft of light there would have been not photo at all. I wanted to preserve that feeling. I could have lightened it considerable, but then it would have have been dusk.
