Want to be more secure online? Use passwords with twelve characters.

I stick to simplicity while building complex passwords "Photographs daylight development product". If for some reason the system doesn't allow a space (special character), you can add random special characters in between the words and be just as secure. Long gone are the days where completely random passwords are the strongest.

So using "facebookSUCKSbigtime" isn't a good password anymore? But, but, I memorized it.

LMAO, just make sure you put spaces or another special character in between the words. But good one!

To make it a stronger password, substitute certain letters with numbers and symbols, for example, F@ce6O0k5UCKSb19t1me.

Too hard to remember. With proper password management (timeout policies, 2 factor authentication, salted hashes, etc...) there is no need to create crazy variations any longer. Brute force password cracking and even dictionary attacks have to guess a password/passphrase in it's entirety to break it, therefore, traditional hard-to-remember passwords are no longer necessary.

Having read all posts until now, I must warn you
to avoid typing your password(s) because some
could have a key logger sniffing around.
Write a simple text (disconnected from network)
that includes your password(s) and whenever
needed simply copy and paste unto the appropriate
field.
Safer.

Good idea.
As long as the key logger isn't seeing EVERYTHING you type, but it will make it harder for them.

But you forgot about malware that read clipboard data:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/visual-basic/developing-apps/programming/computer-resources/storing-data-to-and-reading-from-the-clipboard

Also, if your text file is disconnected from the network, how will you copy/paste it?

I'm not discounting your idea (I use Keepass), but those are the far limits, and if keyloggers or other malware is loaded, you probably have far more issues.

Simply disconnect the cable. The text is saved to your HDD.
OTOH, how could the "clipboard reader" could know
where I am using the contents and other data ?
I will read the link you posted.

This is probably a candidate for a separate discussion. But in short, malware doesn't have to be selective, grab everything and figure out what's important and what's not later. Or filters that discard audio/visual files and only grab text, etc....

I read the link. I pretty much remember it from my
long gone days on VB 3. I still keep my prints of API's
from that era.
I created a small code that was intended to be a prank
among friends that used API calls to copy the desktop
area and at each move of the mouse it substituted each
pixel color with black. To get out, one needed to key in [ESC]
twice.
I had good laughs.
