By your reasoning a chimpanzee with a hasselblad
is a better photographer than a chimpanzee with a box brownie.

Not at all. I emphasized that the photographer must learn to use the increased capabilities of better equipment. A photographer who doesn't do that can have the best equipment available, but it won't do him any good.

Yes at all!

You keep saying better equipment makes a better photographer; that's rubbish.
The quality of a photo is far more dependent on the photographer than
the camera he or she uses.

Ansel Adams took better photos with a box brownie than you take
with all your cockamamie stacking and infra red equipment and whatever
digital camera you (mis)use. Your dalias are hideous and the photos
you "produced" of the kitten are as flat as a pancake and have an awful
colour cast... The're a waste of cyberspace and I've seen far far better
photos of flowers and cats shot with cell phones.

Sorry to be so harsh but you change your commentary the same way slime mold
changes shape... i'm sick and tired of your BS!

Yes at all! br br You keep saying better equipmen... (show quote)

The story I heard about Ansel Adams is that he was disappointed in the quality of photos he shot with his first camera, a box brownie, and he realized he had to upgrade and learn to use large format equipment to accomplish what he wanted to do with photography. I doubt he would have received the acclaim he did as a photographer if he had stuck with that box brownie.

This reminds me of back in the day when after work some buddies and I would sit around a bar drinking beer and talk about changing our lives and the world around us.. I stopped doing that 20 plus yrs ago and changed my life and the people around me. Them old buddies are still talking the same old sh__. You can talk about photography until you're Blue in the face, and not change or grow or accomplish one bit.. Join a club that gives you monthly challenges. Spend each weekend traveling your state photographing wildlife or landscapes. Watch new and fresh tutorials on YouTube about any type of photography you want to do. And these tutorials actually are using a camera and showing results... Anything, Anything, but Talk about photography... Talkings for wimps, actions for photographers....
