I always wonder how do they see where they’re going with their eyes covered like that?

Well, the first two we had, had no problems at all since we had them since they were puppies and they grew up that way. However, poor Cooper, first became ours when he was 4 1/2 and his hair was trimmed out of his eyes. I tried my best to live with it that way, but he just didn't look like a sheepdog to me, so I had to let it grow out. In the beginning, he ran into a lot of things, but now he has adapted quite well.

Glad you like the photos. He's a fabulous dog.

My friend has the same dog with hair trimmed off, they're very smart dog & playful too. Her name is Derby. I just thought his hair should be trimmed so they can see better, imho.
Thanks for sharing. :-P

Not a problem. They are wonderful dogs, and many people feel the same way about trimming their hair, but it really is just a personal preference, as I have asked both breeders and veterinarians.
