the last two are just to show that we encountered something a little unusual; we saw an injured lion in the am; in the late afternoon the radio call told us the mobile Ranger vet was treating her, so we hustled over there to watch them finish up. We saw her walking around, the next morning
Was the lion shot or die from natural cause or poaching.?

no no; she apparently had a skirmish with the male she and another female were in the company of. When we saw her in the am, she was limping a little, and her leg was bloodied. The male had apparently injured her. She was fine; in the pictures she is heavily sedated. As I said, we saw her the next morning, walking around.
btw, the male came nosing around, again; she chased him off, apparently not wanting any more of him;

Excellent series! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the back story.
Thank you ED......these types of occurrences are often never seen by us and they speak to a much greater and significant objective in the background.
The Park Personnel really take care of these animals as much as they possibly can , given that they are wild and do destroy each other on occasion . So I enjoy the fact that you took a moment to share this vitally-important fact with us. It matters greatly if these beasts are to be kept in tack over time.
It is a very Good Thing Indeed.
Thank you again sir.
Great series, Ed, #2 stands out above the rest, excellent.
