the following comment was made about a different set of photos and when I posted the photos had changed... SS, purple flower with red in the background ... what happened!!... did you edit your post?
Photos #2 & #3 are very good and pleasant colors being mainly mid spectra.
In sharp contrast, #1 is a competition between both ends of the visual spectra a step inside the visual from the IR and UV. The high saturation harsh Yellow tongue on the violet is an eye grabber.
My bet is that if displayed and viewed by the public with continually changing order to randomize the viewing position, that the time spent looking at #1 would rank much higher than #2 & #3. I think this is something that we as photographers may not rationally consider when setting up or Postprocessing an image.
