I am in desperate need I had my modem changed out for my internet I stayed with the same brand there was a problem with the old modem. The problem is the ssid from the old modem is still on the printer and I can’t seem to get the printer to find the new modem. I have gone thru every situation on the internet from canon and others I even did a direct connection and still no luck. Does anyone have any ideas what might be the problem thanks. George

Try this. Turn your printer off and pull the plug to reset it. After 10 minutes, power the printer back up with your modem turned off. Then reset the printer again, turn your modem back on and let it initialize, and then turn your printer back on. Hopefully the old modem link in the printer will now be gone and it will find your new modem.

I replaced my older Canon Pixma with a newer model. Had to change the IP #s too. Not a big deal.
Here’s a link to Canon’s help articles:

I’m curious. Which advice worked, the Canon link or the reset procedure that I posted?

👍👍
I had a similar problem years ago putting a new phone modem in a PC. After two weeks of struggle I booted the computer without the old modem in it then shut it down, installed the new modem, and it worked. Windows did not like having two modems in its config files. Apparently printers don’t either.
