Yes, good catch. If you took the time to make all those manual adjustments and think about composition, you would have lost the shot.

I love it, it tells a real story of the difference in generations and luck in your life.

I wondered whether it might tell it’s story stronger in Monochrome.

Thanks for the story, Frank

My thoughts too. The image definitely fits the classic street photo genre - “photography conducted for art or enquiry that features unmediated chance encounters and random incidents within public places ...” (Wikipedia). The OP’s wife has a good eye for seeing such opportunities.

Yet another example of balancing story and the visual language. The story is compelling. The visual language (post processing and composition) needs work if to be shown professionally.

Your wife is a genius. You are one VERY lucky photographer.

I adore that amazing shot!!!

I totally agree with this statement. I had a similar episode in Peru as the bus started moving I saw an old woman begging on the street. I got off two shots through the front window and used the image in a painting.

Did your wife say that was the image she was looking for? I might have focused on a portrait of the old woman.

Yes, it was. Fortunately, I did grasp the overall scene that she wanted. Had I seen it I, too, may have focused on the old woman although the angle from the bus wasn't amendable to much of a portrait.

I think it's cool that your wife thinks enough of your ability as a photographer to point out the shot. It tells me she has a good eye.
