Try this video -
https://youtu.be/CENUWY5LbBYJulieanne Kost focuses on LR, by far easiest process. The video starts with a text-based watermark and then a demo of doing a signature created in PS. If you already have your PNG created, the process to use this file in LR begins at 3:25. Use the <pause> and rewind whenever you need to replay or follow along on your computer. You should have the video open in one window and LR open in another at the same time following step by step with <pause> as needed.

I used this when I created my logo.

Ok will give it a go again. Thank you so much
Matt's video is great for this.
Or, go to photologo.com and buy a custom-crafted one. Very easy to export out of Lightroom with watermark attached.

Before I came across Matt's video, I purchased a logo from photologo.com and it turned out very nice. But what I like about following Matt's video was the satisfaction of doing it myself and exactly how I wanted it. Creating my own logo was easier than I thought plus I have the ability to modify the logo, something I have done a few times already and all for free.

Watermarking is a mixed bag. I would never sell an image with a watermark, but I will sign the print either in the margin or in the lower right corner, just conspicuously enough to be seen but not distracting. I use archival gel ink pens - I use Sakura pens, but I think Pentel and Pilot may be offering archival pens as well. A digitally created signature diminishes the value of a print, while a hand signature can enhance the value.
Really true. I am more interested with a signature. I do not trust myself with my awful handwriting.

Implement the watermark in LR and it remains separate from the image and is applied only during the Export, if desired.

Creating a .png file is quite easy in Microsoft Word:
Create a document with the desired signature/logo/watermark.
Select what you wish to save and copy it.
Open a new document.
On the “Home” screen, click on “Paste”, then on “Paste Special”.
Select “Picture”, and right click the resulting image and select “Save as Picture”.
Select the format .png from the dropdown menu. The file produced will have the transparent background you need, which then can be used in your processing software of choice. I happen to use the latest version of ON1, in which the process is customizable, but super easy!.

Oh hell. Just give him a fish. At least he can have dinner while he ponders how to create a signature...

I agree! Don’t ruin your pictures a with watermark. It’s an ego thing that takes away from your image! My opinion that’s shared by many.
