Not looking for anything on this topic I stumbled upon this fascinating video covering the life cycle of a hummingbird. There is some interesting information in the video. I thought I would share this with everyone as I have seen several photos on this site of hummingbirds.

Thanks, I am a little wiser now.
Thanks for sharing it. Fascinating.
That is one of the best videos that I've ever seen. I had no earthly idea that they could memorize 300 feeding locations. I feed them each year and love to watch them. Haven't tried to seriously photograph them yet. But maybe next year. Thank you for sharing the link. - James

As I watched this video, I was glancing out my window at the hummers at one of my feeders! Out standing video! Thanks for sharing! Grand kids enjoyed it too!
Thank you that was great.
I'm glad you shared it.
I was totally amazed at how they raised their little butts to shoot outside the nest.
Thank you!
That was beautiful, Thanks !!!

Indeed it is! I found the video to be very touching and endearing. It was very well done and I loved the commentaries throughout the video.

I was really impressed with the video, too, and didn't realize they could fly upside down either.
I tried to photograph a hummer that visited my home occasionally. My wife was always telling me about its visits but I never saw it until one day as I was about drive off to my office. I stopped, got out of my car, grabbed my camera, and almost ready to shoot when it came within three feet of me. It hovered while looking at me standing my camera and telephoto in hand, and then flew off. The face off lasted about ten seconds and I didn't dare raise my camera as I knew I would never get the shot.
