The burning of the Brazilian rain forest is an example of greed overcoming the well being of the planet. The forests of the world are the lungs of the planet and their destruction is going to effect everyone right wing or left wing. Isn't it time to contact your congressman, president, member of Parliament, prime minister or any person in government. Air is something we all share. Time to pull together?

Contact the very people who have been bought by the multi-national corporations and the right wing billionaires to carry out the destruction of the planet in service of the goal of increasing profits and power?

My point was there is the automatic knee jerk reaction it is a right winger and of course a billionaire. These reactions are based on your bigotry and all the other adjectives I had mentioned. So, pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord was directly responsible for these fires?? What could/can the US do to or how can they get involved with Brazil?

I do know who is a climate change denier and so do you. Look at the facts and I think you will see it is not an automatic knee jerk reaction. It is based on a very disturbing trend of how this administration does not believe in anything but money. Just listen to the speeches. Brazil is just current crisis. Melting glaciers, record temperatures, air pollution, pollution in our oceans, on and on. I wholeheartedly agree with you something needs to be done. But we need to treat the systemic cause not just the symptoms. That will take a true bipartisan effort. Can you name any member of congress on the right who is championing the cause? Look at major campaign donors and you will have your answer about the billionaires. The thief is indeed a thief. I'm sure there are good people on both sides (sound familiar?). I apologize for bringing this to a photography site that I very much enjoy and will refrain from further comment. Added one of my pics to remind us of just how beautiful our planet is.
