Hi Everyone, I would like to know which angle looks best for this photo. I am having a difficult time figuring out which works best for the picture. I played a lot with the pp (contrast, bright and darken) and advice is welcome.
personaly I think the first gives a better view. as if you were actually approaching that opening. All nice shots btw. thanks
I like #4 as to the angle.
Have you tried it in HDR?
I am not sure which I prefer in regard to the angle.
I do think, however, that increasing the shadow detail of the stone and changing the green has greatly improved the image. I vote for #4. I don't think there is much if anything to gain with an HDR.
Interesting set of images. Your position changes, the exposures change, and most importantly you focal length on your lens changes.
Without question, the subject matter beyond the arch way is best in the first image. Here you were likely at the greatest focal length on your zoom lens. That being said, my vote is for the first image without reservation.

I did take them for HDR, but I am having trouble with merging them, so I just decided to work on the single photos. I think it's my computer and not the program......
Thank you for your reply.

Thank you. I am torn between the first and last one.
Don't know whaat you mean by "angle", but there is NO question that #1 is by far the better composition...

I did enhance the green in the foliage and I think it looks best but I wasn't sure if it was to enhanced. Thank you for your response.

Thank you for your reply. You mentioned the "subject matter beyond the archway" are you taking the archway into consideration of the picture as a whole? I am trying to decide if the bridge opening is an important part of the picture or not?
It is obvious that those who have commented like the enhanced versions of the woods better than the less enhanced which was also a question I was wondering about.....

Thank you, composition is what I should have said instead of angle.
#1 floats my boat
I like #1 the best, with #4 as a close 2nd.

Thank you Dr Rae, Stoney and Sarge for giving me your opinions.
I really really appreciate every ones opinions on this!
BTW, this is Poinsett Bridge in Travelers Rest, SC. It is about 50 miles south (I believe) of Asheville, NC. I never realized that S. Carolina actually has some of the foothills in our state. If I get a chance, I will post a picture of the entire bridge.
