Took Macro lens to work yesterday. Breezy but managed a couple. The pollen on the leg one is overprocessed. I still like it.
No. 2 works nicely for me.
Humm, why don't grade and HS text have storytelling photos like yours...
By way of education of me and others... EXIF on #1.... 1/1000 s. f=9, ISO 1000, no flash, Lens 2.8 100mm
So if we write those settings on a 3x5 card with a small print of one of your photos and label it Bees we will be able to have a good try at quality photos.
Itsnoelb, Consider that setting Plagiarism is a form of flattery and is an educational webinar in one line... We can only hope that our photos with camera settings turn out almost as good as yours.

Here you go. 1 was underexposed and I brightened in post. The shutter was to fast so I adjusted (shooting Manual) and I will share the adjusted setting.
Manual mode, Meter-spot, Focal length- 100mm (prime lens), ISO-1000, Shutter- 1/500 @ F/9. The light was changing with clouds and shadows so WB was cloudy then adjusted in Post Process. Original was shot in RAW.
The distance to "target" varied from approx 10" to about 24", then cropped in post. Hope you and others find this useful and look forward to seeing your results
I shall figure out how to attach Exif when posting.
Let me add a ThankYou for the kind words.
These are simply The Best Bee shots I have seen all year........Very Nice Indeed......winners all of them.

I like bees. I used to raise them before I left South Carolina. Very sharp images.
