Maggie with new lens

My usual stay at home subject, Maggie our treasured Fox "Terror"! She has learned a bit about posing. Shot with a new (to me) Tamron 35-150mm full-frame lens with a Canon R mirrorless with adaptor. Dog and camera good subjects! Shot with flash so there's a bit of a shadow under her chin. I hate to use a flash but the weather is terrible outside.

Cute, dog & shot - you might consider the ancient trick of draping a handkerchief over the flash, back in the day, linen. The other option is a little flash compensation. That way the whites won't blow out. I bet you don't have any rodent problems!

I have a beast too. He is a Labrador/Dalmation mix. All his spots are on his belly. He thinks he is a person and just loves attention. Try using a small fill flash or even draping tissue paper or a white napkin held in place with a rubber band. You could have him chewing a toy or a handkerchief underneath.

I think Tamron has hit a home run with this new lens - I've had mine for a couple weeks and love it.

Maggie looks like a wonderful companion!

Thanks all! Maggie is a treasure. As far as the flash and using something to cut down the shadows I should have done it but was in a hurry to try out the lens. SueScott is right, it's a great lens!
