There is a new type of bottled water being sold. It's called "wine water" because it's flavored with the skins of the grapes that would otherwise be discarded. I guess "wine water" sounds more appetizing than "garbage water."
Gotta be better than Ripple, Mogan-David 20:20 or Boones Farm!
Note: for you non-Boomers, Mogan-David 20:20 was an incredibly cheap wine made from at least 51% concord grapes better suited for jelly. Known as simply MD 20:20 it was famous for providing hangovers in a class by themselves and the "MD" was generally called "Mad Dog" or "Much Dumber" which fully describes those who preferred this concoction.
I see where you are taking us...........oh dear. I would have been just fine if they hadn't told me what it really was.......having once witnessed a Jamaican chef make Fish Head Stew......ewwwww!
I'm a fan of "Chamripple" which Red Foxx would talk about on his show that was a mix of champagne and ripple!
And...don't forget that drink from the brown bag special which was Thunderbird, a favorite of us underage kids back in the 60's.

The skins of the grapes are not generally placed in the garbage. They are either composted or used for animal feed.
So it might be called "compost water" or "fodder water"?

They can call it "Futterwasser" or "Eau Fourragère" and sell a ton.
Seems on a par with the ability to make people pay for potato skins! Wish I'd thought of the idea....

When it comes to food and beverages: it seems you can fool most of the people most of the time. Actually buying bottled water proves the point. Studies have shown that there is absolutely NO benefit. In countries with poor sanitation.....chances are 'bottled water' comes from 'the nearest supply' contaminated or not!
Fill your own bottles and flavour it as you will...
We use (cycle through) five refillable containers, filled from our tap.
We have no waste until the bottle wears out.
Then it's recycled.
I remember Richard's Wild Irish Rose wine as a kid at about 69 cents a bottle. Wow, the things you would drink as a kid.

There are healthful compounds in grape skins, including resveretrol, which supposedly slows down aging changes. I think I would rather just drink water and eat grapes, thank you... I guess if you are going to market water that people are willing to pay $3 or more per bottle - more per gallon than gasoline - you have to make it "special" to be competitive.

And I remember him ordering a "tripple" - tequila and Ripple!
