Ha, ha, ha!!! My child did this too. Only what he did was a little different. When he was about two years old, he did something similar.
I worked swing shift so I slept late. I left bananas out for him. He could manage that. But one morning I came into the kitchen and found foot prints in sugar on the counter.
He had pulled up a chair to the counter, got to the sugar, poured it in the bowl with his banana, but the chair back. He had bananas and cream with sugar....the empty bowl was still on the table.

As a young man he always asked me how in the world did I know that he went into the cabinet. I let him think that mothers just automatically know secret things. It doesn't hurt to let kids believe that. It wasn't until he was about 30 when I told him the truth about the foot prints in the sugar.

She seems to be able to step up onto the fridge! Not too young to be taught. I feel people wait too long to start teaching. I was once told by a teacher that children in first grade were too young to learn a foreign language because they couldn't keep them separate. When I was in Iran a friend and his viet wife were there with their 3 yr old daughter. One day his wife told me her daughter made her so mad. I asked her why and she told that whenever she was mad at her she would only speak Farsi! This 3year old spoke Farsi, Vietnamese and English! Don't wait to teach!

ab7rn, this is true. When my friends were stationed in Spain, their 7 year old little girl had to translate for them. She picked it up that fast!!!
