Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge is one of the many pleasures of visiting or living in New York City. Here are two pictures of a recent visit to the bridge. All comments are welcome. Thanks for looking.

When the bridge first opened, it had a crew of 250 to maintain it. Now, it's barely a handful of people. Will it last another hundred years?
From 2007 -
"Only three of the 787 bridges maintained by the New York City Department of Transportation are rated in poor condition, and the Brooklyn Bridge — opened in 1883 — is one of them."
From 2015 -
"A repair for the Brooklyn Bridge is $100 million over budget and the completion date has been pushed back yet again due to major cracks and holes discovered during the five years of work, the Daily News has learned."
