Nikon D 500 or D 750? If you have some input I'd like to read it.
I'm using a Nikon d3300 and a d5200. have 3 lenses Nikon 40mm macro, 70 -300 mm and a Tamron 150 - 600 mm. I don't know if I want the D500 or D750?
Bear in mind the D750 would mean FF glass along with the camera body.
If sports or wildlife is your thing than the D500 for higher frame rate.

D500 and D750 are radically different cameras. How did you come to eliminate D7200 and D7500?

With your DX glass, it's a no-brainer. D500
I agree the D500 is the right choice. I've been shooting with the 500 for the past year and it is a great camera. It's very fast (rated at 10 FPS) and with the dual memory card slots (XQD and SD) you can store a lot of pics wether your shooting RAW, JPG or both. The AF system is the same as the D5 which makes it a powerful workhorse. Good luck with your decision.
Best.

Rumor has it that Nikon will soon release a D8000. Perhaps, if you aren't in serious short-term need of a new camera, it might be worth waiting a bit to see if there is anything to the rumor and if there is, what the specs of the 8000 might be.
I have a D750...along with D3200 and 5200 units, and while I have been looking at the 500, I've decided to wait to see if there will be an 8000.
Both the 500 and 750 have some age behind them now and the technology is moving along rather fast so it will be interesting to see if the 8000 provides some of the benefits currently on the 500 and 750.

While your macro is a DX lens, your two others are full frame lenses, and the macro is your cheapest lens.
Either body may suit you but the D500 is 2 years newer and 2 generations newer processor. Its the best crop sensor camera on the market today and only slightly higher priced than the D750 right now. It would most likely be your best overall choice.

If you do not know, then you have not outgrown your present camera yet.
Stick with it. Use it until you know what it can not accomplish that other gears can.
It would be better to learn other hobbies or skills that carry over to photography. It may help you find your niche faster than to look at replacement gear.
Hiking for instance may teach you the difference why a full frame is good for landscape and the the APS-C is good for wildlife. Drawing can teach essential composition skills while painting helps to be good with colors.
I have both a D500 (two of them) and a D750. I alternate between them according to the photo shoot. It's easier to get a shallow depth of field with the D750. I've been using my Tamron 45mm f/1.8 SP VC lens on that camera a lot. A focal length of 43mm on a full frame camera gives a perspective close to what the human eye sees.
I use the D500 for everything. It's actually great for landscapes because it's easier to obtain a deep depth of field. You're using a wider angle lens than on a full frame camera to get the same field of view. That results in a deeper depth of field. I also use it for model photo shoots. The joystick controller is great for moving focus points around quickly.

Certainly the Nikon 7200 is another classic.
The D500 is the best camera Nikon has ever made. This camera will make you a better photographer.
