Trying my hand at birding with 80D and EF 70-300 IS ll both recently acquired from Canon refurbished stock.
The first 5 are with the Canon setup.
The next 2 were captured with my Pentax K5lls and a $30 Sigma 70-300 DL Macro. I think this combo help up very well IMHO. Comments welcome.

Nice group of bird images. Something I rarely shoot.
You realize that "macro" just means it focuses up close, true macro lenses are primes. How do you like the K-5IIs ? I've had a K-5 (16MP) for years and have thought of buying a K-5IIs and giving the K-5 to my wife. Even though I also have a K-3 (24MP), I am not totally happy with it. You got a good deal on that Sigma lens. I have a used smc-Pentax-FA 100-300mm Zoom Lens that I paid $38 for. Seems sharp but the AF is noisy and sloppy sounding.
Thank you both. Mike I really like my Pentax. See signature for the lens I own. There are a few others.
Got the camera new 3 to 4 years for $530 with a Pentax grip and a 64 sdhc card. Paid more initially but B&H keep dropping the price in the 30 days after. So I got 2 refunds. A heck of a deal.
The Canon was also a great deal...$700 including a 18-55 STM and a 55-250 STM. Gonna sell the long zoom maybe the other too. Travelling now so that have to wait. About the macro, I know. I put it in my post as it is part of the name. I'll pm you about another matter.
