Quick question. Do any of you use the remote? In what cases would you use it?

I use a CamFi remote. It allows me to sit in the living room and see what birds are doing in the feeder. Click the shutter right from the screen without disturbing the birdies too much. (they still here the shutter click)
CamFi transmits to an iPad and most of the critical controls are available from the iPad screen. (Android too)

All the live view features - moving the focus point for example are there.

Check out the ML-L3 - 16' range. Useful to reduce camera movement on tripod, take photos with camera set on any stable surface. Tiny, inexpensive, and useful. Note: it must be set up in the camera menu - consult your camera manual.

Whole other subject; I haven’t tried it in a couple years. Does Snapbride function? The last time I tried it, it worked until the first LOS then had to be restarted and reconnected on both the phone and camera.

Thank you. I did buy that one and returned it when the battery area was unable to open. Thinking the battery tab was broken off however I couldn't open it. That's why I was looking to see what others used. Thank you for your advice

I use the Amazon Basics wireless remote on the Nikon D7500 and my other Nikons, mostly for fireworks on a tripod.
