I went chasing the Bigboy July 23 when it left SPUD (St. Paul Union Depot) 8:30 am only 30 minutes late due to heavy traffic in area. Would have been leaving later if Amtrak #8 would have arrived and departed on time. Amtrak was still 30 miles away from depot when BNSF gave the UP the track warrent to leave the depot around 8:30 am. Caught the train as it pass under the Edgerston St. Bridge as it was heading towards Hudson, Wisc. around 8:45 am. Track speed is 35 mph until he gets over the bridge at Hudson then ths speed increased to 45 mph all the way to Eau Claire. Bigboy finally rolled through Hammond, Wisc. around 10:35 am 1 hour late heading to Eau Claire, Wisc. Finally finished the chase at Menomonee, Wisc. around 11:30 am. After reviewing the video l found out that the video not greatest. The focus sensor in the video camera finally would have to die on me. I have my poor copy for myself. If anybody wants a copy send my a pm and l will send it to you. But at least God gave me permanent memories of chasing the Bigboy Tuesday 23, July 2019 which l will take with me to l die.
