Earlier this morning taken off a pier at the beach. Nikon 810 with an 80-400, at 400. 1/4000. F 5.6 iso 250. Full frame. I was lucky to be shooting in the right direction.

I like the detail in the feathers. You must have been at the right spot at the right time with the right camera settings! Well-done.

Thank you Carol! If I learned one thing last summer, when I got interested in photographing these amazing birds, was that I had to be very mindful of the highlights. I believe this was compensated to under expose by - .7
