Sorting out "STUFF" after a recent move discovered these: Royal Canadian Army Service Corps "heading up" basic training circa 1939--1940. Also post D-Day. I can't be the ony UHH'r with this sort of memorials---y'all bring them on!!!!!!!!!! Incidently, that makes these original shots almost 75 years old---think the stuff we're doing today will last that long?

We found this in my Mother In Law's home as we moved her into assisted living. It should be somewhere in the Carolina's, unknown author, unknown date.
( But it does fit your photo criteria ;-)

Exactly. I'd say, by looks of the plane, we're talking about early 30's. By looks of the children 'attire, maybe earlier. Great Shot!!! Keep 'em comming.

Well, this one almost fits. Taken in the '80s, it reflects a time much earlier.
9 1/2 cents per gallon!!

This was a store front in Cartwright, TX, about 80 miles east of Dallas.

Fill 'er Up?

Gas was so inexpensive that the computer in that pump(as opposed to dispensers we use today) only went to $10.00. The "pickers" would love to find the sign and pump!

A different take on WW2.
Many families were started just as "He" was shipped out.
This one is of my Mother In Law, Thelma and her love, James. Taken around '45-'46.
