A dream photo journalist's dream photo was wasted prior to the Chicago Gay Pride Parade.
Picture sidewalks full with Gay Pride revelers, decked out in rainbow paint, hair and outfits, filing to the parade route to view the parade and one grizzled old man in a Cubs t-shirt hobbling against the rainbow with overnight bags in obvious escape
It would have made a helluva statement.

I'm the one that started this piece. I'm straight and live in Chicago's Boys Town, which is fine. The gay parade cut off all bus service and taxis, so I split for a downtown hotel.
It's like if you lived in the French Quarter. Do you want to be there for Mardi Gras. Not me. I didn't mean anything by starting this thread
All the guys at the Jewel grocery are gay. I don't give a shit. It's a clean, quiet neighborhood. I'm friendly with everyone around here.
