Another bad word for some of you ... SCIENCE !!!
You need warm gusty air at ground-ish level to make hailstones.
You also need warmer water than air to get a "green flash".
And when you guys are getting the "polar vortex" it's because the large Pacific warm air blobs of 80 degrees and higher are rising up pushing it over.
We've NEVER gotten hail on a cold day.
